Blue Lake Report 10.26.2016

In Okanogan County there are three lakes with the name Blue.
The water known as Blue Lake is in the Lime Belt and is the smallest of the three. It's also one that sees little use. Right now, it's producing some real nice brook trout. If you have a pontoon boat or a float tube, it is an easy lake to fish.

What’s out on the water? 14" to 18" bright colored brookies are what’s waiting for you. For what’s on the menu out that way, it seems any of the olive leech, bugger patterns are doing the trick.
This is a general rules lake, but some of the area fly anglers are finding it’s worth fishing. It’s open year round and will fish good till freeze up. Most of the times I’ve been there, I’ve had the lake to myself, just like in these pictures.
