After a long night of discussions with our buying team, and an all-day scavenger hunt for the very best new products coming in 2018, we settled on these 12 items aimed at the country lifestyle.

Muck Arctic Ice Boots
This item is unbelievable. When Kayla McAnally, our footwear buyer, dragged us over to the Muck Boot booth to see this item, I have to admit I was more than skeptical about the “cool factor” of a new Muck Boot release. However, this new sole they are using has been developed by Vibram and IS the ANSWER to footwear traction on icy conditions. A dry ice rubber compound, combined with arctic grip lugs is what creates their new proprietary technology called Wet Ice Technology. The boot itself is rated down to -60 degrees, will do no harm to floors, and acts just like a regular rubber boot during dry conditions. I tested these myself on the ice ramp at the show, so watch the video below to see this amazing new product.

This is going to be a favorite new product for many of our North 40 Life community. This new tank design saves space, and fits better inside your pickup bed. We don’t see innovation too often in a product as traditional as twine, and at first I have to admit, I thought this was just for attention, but the Cordex Maxcord 600 comes with some serious advantages to the farmer and rancher. This new twine is a high visibility pink. Why’s that a good thing? You can see it. This is a high-density twine that is much smoother with less abrasion which makes it smoother so it runs better in your machines on the field.
Oklahoma Steel “No Trespassing Barb Wire”
We still are scratching our heads on this, but evidently we haven’t been paying attention, because as of now 17 states have already signed up to accept the color purple as their "no trespassing" color. So it's obvious you don’t want people on your property without permission, Oklahoma Steel has now developed a barb wire in purple to make sure people get the message.

We asked Brent Erickson, from Erickson Manufacturing to introduce an innovation to the ratchet strap. Now, you can put the ratchet wherever you want, because it's no longer stationary. A bonus to this new product is the very simple cap lock on the hook which keeps the hook from falling out of position.
