IF4 Is Coming This Friday

What Is IF4?
IF4 is the abbreviated form of the International Fly Fishing Film Festival.
The International Fly Fishing Film Festival® consists of short and feature length films produced by professional filmmakers from all corners of the globe, showcasing the passion, lifestyle and culture of fly fishing. The films at this popular event are capturing the attention of anglers around the world. IF4â„¢ contains exclusive content and is a must see experience coming to a theater near you!
I’ve had a chance to preview the films. They had me at giant Icelandic brown trout, but after a feast of 100 lb Costa Rican Tarpon, a big helping of huge Redfish eats and a buffet of Amazonian Jungle fish, the Legend of Neckbeard eased me back to the Rockies. And that was just the first half.
Where To Go?
The Missouri River Fly Fishers are hosting the IF4 in the Banquet Hall at the Do Bar in Great Falls, MT. The Banquet Hall is open to all ages. Beverages are available in the Hall and God Fathers Pizza is in the building if you want to enjoy a pie during the show. It’s a perfect venue for eating, drinking, socializing and viewing the films on multiple screens. The doors will open at 6:30 pm and we will roll the films at 7:30 pm.
Tickets are $15 bucks. Not only will you get a great show, but you’ll have a chance to socialize with a fun fishy crowd and you might even win a fly rod during a brief intermission.
Proceeds from your ticket will cover the cost of the event with any additional monies targeted to preserving access and fishing opportunities on the Upper Missouri River and its tributaries. I’d call that reason enough to attend. Tickets are available in the North 40 Fly Shop, online at flyfilmfest.com and at the door until we fill up.
If you like fly fishing, if you have cabin fever, if you need to get away from the news channels and have some fun, you need to join the tour and come to IF4 2017.
