Coeur d'Alene River Report 7.19.16

Fishing on the Coeur d'Alene River has been fairly good with fish starting to eat hoppers well. The river flow is low with c.f.s at only 365 as of this morning.

Hopper- dropper set-ups seem to be working the best. Our best luck for dries came on Morrish pink belly hoppers and pink panty dropper hoppers. As for droppers, it was mostly the small stuff that seemed to be working the best. Morrish super pupa and the hotwire may tricked a few nice cutthroat that didn’t want to come to the surface. Morning and evenings are fishing the best. Large vinyl hatches (tubers) have been consistent mid-day, creating some frustration for fisherman. My best advice for this is "if you can’t beat them join them," until the evening bite that is.
