Carhartt Double Fronts & Georgia Boots 8044: Review and Recommendations

This all started as I've explained here when I wentĀ logging in Monarch, with Sam offhandedly saying, "Hey Jake, Cutter. You guys free Wednesday? We have a shoot forĀ Husqvarna. Leaving about two."

Cool, we think collectively. Just another, normal, run-of-the-mill day at work.

Wrong.

Carhartt Double Fronts + Georgia 8044 Work Boots

We stopped at the Great Falls store to pick up the gear- and Sam threw me all the clothes you see me in here. "Put this gear on. Carhartt & Georgia Boots 8044s. That's the most iconic pairing you can get off these shelves. People swear by that pair."

I began here to feel a slight trepidation with this "outfitting." It was like I was gearing up to battle nature or something. I figured it was for us to have photos for ads in the company mailer. No big deal. But I was, of course, wrong.

This was a work fitting and these clothes withstood the rugged beating of what has become known as "Sam's Monarch Field Test."

Carhartt Double Front Logger Review

First off these Carhartt Double-Fronts (not to mention those wicked red Husqvarna braces boom) these work pants aren't your average single-ply denim jeans. They're made for serious work and they're made to last.

Check out our latest selection of Carhartt pants here.

The double front on these jeans is so durable I know I'm going to own this pair for the rest of my life (update, 3 years later: I've remodeled a house in these same pants and they are still brand new feeling).

But really, setting out toĀ "field test"Ā some products- the durability of my jeans wasn't something that was in the back of my mind, but I was thankful for the Carhartt, work-first design (not to mention the comfort of these jeans they fitĀ well and bend in the right places). Plus, thoseĀ Georgia's fitĀ and we got some ridiculous shots during this outing.

Georgia 8044 Work Boots Review

When we finally got out to Monarch I knew this was going to be a different trip than what I had first imagined. "We're all about REAL, Cutter. We're not some fake, 'stage-the-picture' company. We want our customers to know WHY we stock these products. You're about to find out why we stock Carhartt and Georgia 8044s." Oh yeah... this was like week #2 of my time as a writer for North 40 Outfitters.

You can buy these boots from us online here.

The Georgia boots kept my feet safe, and were comfortable on the first day. I had no reservations because I was wearing these heavy duty work boots; I was trekking through brush and operating heavy equipment. What type of heavy equipment you ask?

Enter aĀ 25 ton log splitter,Ā Husqvarna 450 Rancher ChainsawĀ and one huge, blue-stain, beetle-killed pine in the middle of the Little Belts.

"There's the project boys," Sam says pointing at a 70 foot tall tree as we pull into the remote ranch.Ā Find out what happens here: inĀ Gone Loggin'.
