Fishing, Hunting and Recreation Permits and Information

All North 40 Outfitters stores with Sporting Goods departments provide licensing for their local fish and wildlife management agencies. Hunting and fishing permits are provided for the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. Required permitting fees may include conservation fees, invasive species prevention fees or other resource-related fees. Beyond actual permits and licenses, stores also carry state-published guides explaining requirements for specific seasons and tags. 

Permitting requirements vary by activity and by state, so we recommend contacting your local North 40 Outfitters location (see a list of participating locations below) to verify permitting requirements for your upcoming outing. Most in-store permitting stations are located at the gun counter, even for fishing-related permitting.
